In this session, we will be introducing independent evaluation at the EBRD and the role of the evaluation department (EvD) to ensure accountability and learning at the EBRD, including in times of change and crisis.
The session will be introduced virtually by our Chief Evaluator, Véronique Salze-Lozac’h, followed by Olga Mrinska, Acting Director of our Sector Country and Project Division speaking about how EvD evaluates the EBRD’s projects.
Gabriele Fattorelli, Acting Director of our Corporate and Thematic Division, will then present the findings of EvD’s real-time evaluation of the EBRD’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic and how it provided lessons for The EBRD Resilience and Livelihoods package in response to the war by the Russian Federation on Ukraine to help both Ukraine and countries directly affected by inflows of Ukrainian refugees.
