Clusters can be powerful allies for public authorities in shaping regional economic development, industrial transition and building regional resilience. Moreover, clusters can be essential partners for the design and successful implementation of smart specialisation strategies (S3).
The Cluster Solutions Library showcases good practices where clusters have played an active role in the 14 industrial ecosystems (as indicated in the updated EU industrial strategy) and regional economies and are drivers for economic transition, in line with the industrial strategy of green and digital transition and resilience building. The focus is also on the interplay of clusters and the implementation of smart specialisation strategies.
