To mitigate climate change and its damaging effects on the environment, the EU committed to achieve climate neutrality by 2050. Reaching this target requires urgent action by all our economic sectors, including the decarbonisation of the energy sector to generate more sustainable means of transport. Indeed, transportation still relies heavily on fossil fuels, but it seems clear that it is necessary to develop alternative fuels.
Presented by Malaurie Chokoualé Datou – Media Content Planner at EIT Urban Mobility –, this Academy WebTV video explores some alternative power sources to decarbonise road transport, with the assistance of three recognised European experts: Jean-Luc Brossard – Programme Director for Low Environment Footprint Vehicles at PFA – Jochen Langheim – Vice President of Advanced Systems R&D Programs at STMicroelectronics – and Trond Hovland – CEO of ITS Norway.
