Solving Batumi’s solid waste problem

Together with the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA) and the Sustainable Infrastructure Fund,* we have financed the first sanitary landfill site in the country, in line with EU standards.

Thanks to this project, the Gonio landfill will be cleaned and closed and people like Gocha will be offered job opportunities in the new facility.
