Toulouse RAPTOR video

The EIT Urban Mobility programme RAPTOR funded a challenge to address how the city of Toulouse could manage more efficiently its refuse collection using circular economy principles. The winning solution was a cooperative that collects edible refuse from restaurants and bars and delivers it to local farms to feed livestock or provide quality nutrients for the soil. In return the farms can offer reduced costs fresh fruit and vegetables to the participating restaurants. The whole logistics process is managed using green mobility cargo bikes.
