Is it possible to combat gender-based inequalities through procurement processes? How do we make gender equality integral rather than an add on to public procurement? In this session, two cities will roll out gender equality clauses as part of their social responsibility charters and governance processes, and EIGE will update us on their gender responsive procurement research. Last but not least, we will challenge participants to consider what actions they can take to use procurement as a way to drive local economic empowerment of women.
