The Urban Lunch Talk #19 took place on 27 January 2022 and featured:
– Erik Verhoef from the U-PASS project: Urban Public Administration and Services innovation for Innovative Urban Mobility Management and Policy. Erik is professor in Spatial Economics and is knowledgeable in efficiency and equity aspects of spatial externalities and their economic regulation, in particular in transport and spatial systems. His research focuses on efficiency aspects versus equity and social acceptability, behavioural modelling, and policy evaluation.
– Joana Barros from the SIMETRI project: Sustainable Mobility and Equality in mega-city Regions. Joana is an urban planner and geographic information scientist at Birkbeck University of London. She is knowledgeable in applying geographic information data and technologies to improve the understanding of urban inequalities and promote social justice.
– Tao Feng, who is an associate professor in urban planning and data-driven mobility in the built environment at Eindhoven University of Technology. Some of his research interests are modeling people’s decision preferences in urban environments, dynamic models, behavior change, and data-driven technologies in transportation. Tao Feng has been working on various topics linked to travel demand forecasting, traffic network analysis, transport air quality analysis, and choice of housing and work. He has also contributed to big data and travel surveys, by developing algorithms to efficiently transform GPS data. Tao Feng has been a part of the DESENT project under the call of ENSCC.
